Editorial Has potential
Gear Liberators is a fun action game with solid combat depth that rewards experimentation and skill mastery. The weapon variety and build options—especially the satisfying melee counter builds—give players meaningful tactical choices, and the community appreciates the recent AI translation. However, the game suffers from persistent rough edges: UI clarity issues (skill menu greyed out in certain contexts confuses new players), occasional crashes, and a noticeable difficulty spike at the final boss. Mission design also has quirks—some objectives are vague, replay functionality is limited, and certain mechanics (like shield upgrades requiring full health at rest stops) aren't well explained upfront. These friction points are bearable for engaged players willing to experiment, but they drag down what could be a more polished experience.
