Nuku Valentines is a text-based science-fiction roleplay game set in 2008, following a nanite-based virus outbreak that induces mutations and transformations. Players engage in classic hack-and-slash combat and roleplay through both a web interface and standard MU* telnet client. The game features a deep sandbox with anthropomorphic characters, transformations, and extensive adult sexual content. Central to the story is the establishment of a Dragon Cult, where players recruit followers, manage relationships with characters like Arlene (a Priestess), and navigate complex branching storylines with variable outcomes based on player choices, character configuration, and interaction history. The experience emphasizes player agency, with quest lines that unlock based on level, prior events, and character attributes.
