Editorial Meh
Farm and Dishes arrives as an ambitious farming-sim inspired by Harvest Moon 64, but it struggles badly in execution. Players consistently report terrible controls, vague or absent tutorials, and a bewildering progression system that leaves most stuck within the first few hours—fishing minigames glitch, crafting recipes are undocumented, and the interface resets language settings on reload. A few dedicated players have reverse-engineered a viable grind path (detailed in community posts), but that shouldn't be necessary. The core loop of farming, fishing, mining, and relationship-building has potential, and the writing references the "Farming Life" manga with some charm, but the game feels unfinished and poorly playtested. Until the controls are tightened and tutorials are genuinely helpful, this will frustrate most newcomers.
