Editorial Has potential
Ero Slayers is a roguelike deckbuilder with the structural DNA of Slay the Spire, built around a restraint and bondage equipment system that replaces relics. The core game loop is solid and the build variety is genuinely engaging—conditioning stacks, dot-heavy fire mage decks, and resin-thorns synergies all land as intended. Asset reuse from the developer's prior games allows rapid iteration: v0.3.0 alone refreshed 120+ equipment textures to eliminate visual duplicates, and the devlog pace suggests real momentum. The game is in active early access and it shows. Act 2 and 3 defeat routes remain unimplemented (only Act 1 has them), balance issues persist (Quicksand is widely flagged as oppressive, the Collector boss can cripple your next run by unequipping all gear), and the browser build lags noticeably during turn processing—though the downloadable version runs better. A few crash reports and one stuck-on-exhaust bug appear scattered across recent feedback. The fake age-verification joke at launch confused some players into thinking it was real malware; most have moved past it, but it cost goodwill. For a game this early, the creative work is genuinely fun for its audience, and the bugs are manageable—not showstoppers, but real enough to note.
