Editorial Meh
Elise and the Spellbinding Marionette is a straightforward defeat-based RPG from Kagura Games with a modest but serviceable story and reasonably appealing art. The scenes themselves earn positive notes, and the core loop — explore, get grabbed, fight back, rinse and repeat — does what it sets out to do for fans of the genre. That said, the game has real design friction: battle-grope animations are lengthy and entirely unskippable, with players reporting having to walk away for minutes at a time. Content expectations are also a point of division; some players feel the "pregnancy" and "multiple protagonists" tags oversell what's actually delivered, while others are satisfied with the vanilla and slime content on offer — that tension is worth knowing about before you buy. On the technical side, a critical syntax error tied to the "Molester Pet" title made the game unplayable at 100 perverted points for many users, effectively bricking save files mid-run. A 1.01 patch from the developer's site addresses this, but it requires a separate manual download. With the patch applied the game runs acceptably, though it remains an unpolished, mid-tier release rather than a finished product.
