Editorial Meh
Drift on Destiny Line is a college-and-racing visual novel with a divided reception. Supporters praise the ambitious scope—multiple locations, likeable character designs, good soundtrack, and a brisk pace that jumps into the action quickly. However, persistent criticism centers on the execution: the English writing and grammar are rough (some suspect AI translation left unpolished), the pacing feels rushed and checklist-like rather than flowing naturally, and the renders, while featuring attractive models, are often grainy or basic and poorly optimized for a 7.9 GB file. The premise itself—small-town protagonist entering college and street racing—is well-trodden ground, and this entry doesn't do enough to justify retreading it. Character potential is recognized, but the game struggles with the fundamentals of narrative craft and technical polish needed to realize it.
