Editorial Meh
Drenched in Desire has genuinely striking 2.5D art and a charming aesthetic that immediately impresses, but the current build is too broken and unfinished to recommend. Repeated crashes (especially on AMD hardware and during the first slime encounters), missing save functionality, softlocks from energy-depletion menu bugs, broken quest-tracking logic, and a complete lack of tutorial or control hints combine to make the demo effectively unplayable for most. The developer shows promise, has responsive communication, and has acknowledged these issues with patches in progress—but the skeleton that shipped is closer to a proof-of-concept than a playable demo. The creative direction is sound; the execution needs serious work.
