Dominate is an early-access monster-girl RPG built around a resource-gathering and combat loop: chop wood, mine stone, sleep, fight or bribe monster girls, repeat. The art is the clear standout — it's what pulled several players in despite their reservations about the game's state — and the core concept of weakening and capturing monster girls is well-received in principle. The cast already has personality, and there's genuine community enthusiasm about upcoming characters, particularly a goblin merchant and a potential shortstack addition. That said, the game is still very much a framework. The daily grind is widely called tedious, the resource loop feels repetitive, combat options are thin (potions carry too much weight), and content is sparse — most reviewers are commenting on potential rather than what's actually playable. Town visits costing time actions, the limited day cycle, and the steep difficulty spike against stronger girls are the most consistent design criticisms. This is a project to wishlist and revisit rather than dive into right now.
