Editorial Meh
Disciple of Lust is an early-stage RPGM visual novel with a school-setting premise and six main characters. Players praise the character writing and the developer's engagement with the community—bug reports are fixed promptly, and the dev actively solicits feedback on story direction. However, the game's creative identity is hampered by a punishing early grind (2+ hours of class attendance to unlock content) and unclear progression signposting that leaves many players stuck. The story also attempts an overwrought demon subplot that muddles the otherwise straightforward school romance setup; most players feel it detracts rather than adds intrigue. On the technical side, the build is rough: save-file incompatibility between versions, a pattern of soft-locks and progression bugs (Judith quest loops, quest retriggering, black-screen scenes), and collision glitches are commonplace. The dev is responsive and patches issues, but the instability is real. For those willing to use the Discord walkthrough and tolerate an unfinished state, there is a foundation of genuine character work here; for others, the friction outweighs the payoff at this stage.
