Depth's Revival (DR2) is an early-access harem AVN set in the same universe as its predecessor, following a new cast and a new MC through a deliberately dark, drama-heavy opening arc. The community is sharply divided: enthusiastic fans praise the emotional depth, detailed renders, and strong character writing inherited from the first game, while a vocal contingent argues the developer's ambitions—murder, suicide attempts, a miscarriage subplot—outstrip his current writing skill, producing melodrama that lands as unintentional comedy rather than genuine pathos. The pregnancy-heavy content (a franchise signature) is a deliberate feature that some players love and others find alienating; the same applies to the incest routes, which are baked into the harem path rather than optional.
