Denied Self is a deeply personal, introspective game that explores the psychological and emotional turmoil of repressing one's transgender identity. The game does not aim to be pleasant; instead, it seeks to authentically convey the confusion, wrongness, and internal conflict that accompany gender dysphoria and identity denial.
