Editorial Has potential
Cultist Crush is a charming gay dating sim with genuine creative vision. The art is clean and distinctive (not AI—community consensus is firm on that), the writing is warm and character-focused, and the developer shows real care in crafting a world where variety in body types and personalities feels natural and celebratory. The three main characters—Freddie, Todd, and Eugene—each have distinct appeal, and players consistently praise the "soulful" tone even in intimate scenes. The game is currently in active development (v0.2 live, v0.3 final planned for June), which means content is still light and some systems feel rough around the edges. Sexual interactions are acknowledged by the dev as placeholders; the story progression and stat-check systems are new and undergoing trial-and-error. A handful of typos and at least one confirmed progression blocker (Eugene's dinner date) have been reported. For an early-access project, the foundation is solid and the direction is exciting—but patience is required. If you want a fully-featured game right now, wait for v0.3; if you enjoy watching a talented dev iterate, this is worth checking out.
