Deer in the Meadow

Deer in the Meadow is a fantasy visual novel set on Koslivadi, a world where all life forms can manipulate one of seven forms of Will—mystical forces that govern the planet's ecology, society, and politics. You follow Maphelafi Pidal, a jaded botanist living in the lower stratum of a city, whose monotonous existence is disrupted by an unexpected event that compels her to journey across the world. Alongside seven companions called the Beloveds, she searches for her own answer to a profound question: what obligations does one carry simply by being born? The game explores themes of purpose, duty, and self-discovery through a richly constructed world with intricate systems of magic and social hierarchy.
