Editorial Meh
Debt Trap is a time-management sandbox with financial and relationship mechanics that aims at a specific fetish audience. Players who connect with the core concept and character roster find it worthwhile—the premise is solid and the sexual content delivers for those interested. However, the game suffers from serious structural problems: the day cycle is brutally short, making it nearly impossible to grind stats and money without console commands; a gallery is missing, forcing replays to revisit scenes; and progression feels gated in ways that frustrate rather than challenge. The current build is rough—multiple crashes and bugs plague saves, especially around the librarian quest and house return, and the default Russian language on launch alienates the English-speaking audience it's trying to reach. A fresh save helps some players bypass errors, but stability is inconsistent. The developer is active and responsive, but the game needs substantial polish and rebalancing before it delivers the experience it promises.
