Crawling Lab is a roguelike FPS where you fight procedurally-enhanced waves of sexualized android enemies in a secret lab. It succeeds as an atmospheric, mechanically-sound shooter with solid perk synergies and satisfying progression—the visuals of the biomechanical dolls are genuinely well-modeled, and the core loop of unlocking harder difficulties and new enemy types works. However, the game is severely held back by technical instability: players report frequent unexplained alt-tab switches mid-combat (without pause), bullet registration failures, and persistent bugs that gate late-game content behind repeated retry loops. Beyond stability, the creative scope is thin—only five weapon types, eight enemy variants, minimal cosmetic variety, and almost no narrative—leaving it feeling like a technical demo stretched into a full release. The audio design is bare-bones (two looping tracks, no voice acting, minimal sfx). For players specifically drawn to the android aesthetic and willing to tolerate crashes, it delivers; everyone else should wait for patches or look elsewhere.
