Editorial Has potential
Children of the Curse is an early-build sequel to a well-regarded predecessor, and the small slice of community feedback that addresses the actual game is cautiously optimistic. Fans of the previous title recognize the developer's voice and are drawn in by the Koikatsu-style visuals, the returning MC, and branching choices that carry over from the prior game's endings. One substantive review calls it a good start with fun gameplay, while flagging a minor UX issue — quest notifications overlapping scenes — as the main annoyance. The writing draws a positive mention as well-crafted and on point. The audience, however, is clearly self-selecting. The game leans heavily into gender-bender, genderbend-to-female, trap, and incest content, and several commenters are openly unsure or put off by those elements, asking whether certain routes are avoidable. This is a content-fit question, not a quality defect — readers should simply know upfront that those fetishes are front and center rather than peripheral. The developer's history of slow or stalled updates is raised as a concern by at least one observer, though others note that the prior game was in fact completed. Community feedback here is thin and still forming; deeper conclusions will require more playtime and updates.
