CELLBLOCK is a prison warden management and corruption simulator. You take the night shift at a women's facility with minimal oversight, managing inmates and building leverage through favors and deals. The game blends tactical management with slow-burn narrative corruption, played one-handed. As night guard, you complete rounds, process intakes, and climb the ranks from Night Guard to Warden by manipulating the system and the people in it. Two main characters—Marini, a nervous people-pleaser, and Akira, a defiant hardcase—each have distinct personalities and arcs that respond to your choices. Core gameplay involves reading inmate files to catch lies (which become leverage), granting or refusing requests in exchange for escalating favors, managing your heat level to avoid detection, and negotiating outcomes through dialogue rather than menus.
