Editorial Has potential
Bloodcrave is a well-crafted adult visual novel with striking art, animated scenes, and genuinely likeable characters caught in a vampire-hunting narrative with real consequence. Writing, character chemistry, and the central mechanic of using the protagonist's special blood to corrupt or redeem enemies stand out. However, the game ships in a significantly unfinished state: the ending cuts off abruptly mid-story, promised scenes remain unimplemented, placeholder text persists, and voice acting drops off partway through. Worse, the developer did not disclose at launch that this is Act 1 of a multi-part series—a disclosure added only after release and buried in fine print. For those willing to wait for updates or accept an incomplete narrative arc, the foundation is strong and the roadmap promising. For players expecting a finished product, the deception and rushed release are frustrating and justify refunds.
