Blood Rose: Origin of the Plague is a short RPG-Maker survival-horror game with adult content, casting the player as British agent Rosetta as she investigates a zombie-infested mansion. The Resident Evil homage is unmistakable — limited ammo, raise-to-aim gunplay, and a clothing-damage system that tracks the heroine's vulnerability — and the game's niche appeal is clear: monster/zombie defeat scenes covering oral, group, tentacle, and interspecies content, all uncensored without a patch. The heroine's art is the most consistently praised element, and a 'virgin run' option adds a personal-challenge angle. Where opinions diverge is on content volume: six static CGs with no voice acting and no audio effects feel sparse even for a short game, and the adult scenes end in game-over rather than continuing play. The common, more universal complaint is the puzzle design. Across Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Korean, and English reviews alike, players describe opaque solutions with little to no in-game guidance — many needed a walkthrough or the Steam guide just to clear the opening room — and the radio-hint system is widely called too vague to help. Combat compounds this: ammo is scarce, hitboxes on scene transitions can hit the player instantly, and the raise-to-aim control scheme feels clunky in tight corridors. The full playthrough runs roughly one hour with a guide. This is a focused, rough-around-the-edges niche piece best approached on sale; players drawn to monster-corruption scenarios and the heroine's art will find it serviceable, while those expecting polished puzzles or substantial H-content may leave frustrated.
