Editorial Has potential
Big Brother: No More Nice Guy is a remake attempting to recapture the appeal of the original visual novel, and early feedback suggests the creative foundation has genuine potential. Players praise the character writing—particularly Ann's corruption arc and the family dynamics—and appreciate the dev's willingness to listen to community feedback on direction (the recent character-focus poll showed strong interest in Lisa and Ann development). However, the game remains visibly rough around the edges: it's in early access (v0.1), with incomplete mechanics, known bugs blocking progression, and scope creep concerns from the community about phone systems and job features slowing future updates. The dev is transparent about the 3-month timeline for v0.2, but several veteran players of the original series have expressed fatigue with remakes and worry the project may share the fate of "fallen empires on the BB road." For fans of the concept willing to accept a work-in-progress state, there's enough character work here to justify patience; for those wanting a finished, polished experience, this is still very much under construction.
