Beyond the Second Wall is an early-access sandbox management game set in an Attack on Titan-inspired world, and its central promise — recruiting, training, and sending girls on various jobs — is what clearly excites its community most. Players appreciate the art style (anime rather than realistic, a mild debate in the comments), the branching dom/sub/kind/cruel alignment system, and the overall direction. Several reviewers call it a promising start and are genuinely enthusiastic about where it could go. The problem is that almost none of that promise is playable yet. The most consistent complaints are about the near-total lack of income options, job assignment that either doesn't work or isn't implemented, key mechanics that are either bugged or simply absent, and a general sense that the game is a skeleton of its concept. The dev's last Patreon post was months ago, and several community members openly wonder if the project has been abandoned. This is a game very much in mid-development, and right now there is not enough content to constitute a real play session.
