Before You NTR is a kinetic novel exploring a relationship dynamic where a girlfriend tests boundaries with her partner's knowledge. However, the game suffers from severe clarity problems: players consistently report not understanding character motivations, relationship history, or what is actually happening in the story. Dialogue feels stilted and unclear—many suspect AI generation—and the narrative makes heavy assumptions about player knowledge without establishing basic context. The single opening choice misleadingly suggests interactivity in what is purely linear. While some find promise in the core concept and occasional hot scenes, the lack of buildup, backstory, or explanation of why these characters remain together undermines engagement. The game is also part of a larger concern: the developer released three chapter-1 projects simultaneously, each underbaked, raising questions about priorities and polish over quantity.
