Be the Dreamer is a story-driven VN from Nine-Tempos that wraps a political thriller narrative around a large cast of women and multiple branching endings, including a harem route. The developer earns real credit for a player-friendly relationship-label system that lets you set whatever terms you prefer for sensitive dynamics without code-diving, and the plot structure seems genuinely ambitious. On the downside, a vocal portion of the community is unhappy that NTR / sharing content is baked into the multi-perspective structure rather than cleanly optional — watching rival characters seduce women appears unavoidable unless you restrict yourself to the MC's perspective only — and a timed math minigame is widely criticised as unreasonably difficult. A reviewer who played the developer's previous game warns that recurring design problems haven't been addressed, keeping this squarely in "fine but flawed" territory for anyone not already on board with the dev's style. The build reached v1.0 with a completed story and multiple endings. Technical complaints are limited to a single early crash on mouse-wheel scroll (reportedly patched in v0.11) and one report of missing visuals during an intimate scene; at least one virus warning surfaced around the itch.io release but appears to be a false positive.
