Editorial Has potential
Bash Slimes EVERYDAY!! is a roguelike clicker hybrid with genuine heart: charming character art, a Japanese-learning integration that feels natural rather than tacked-on, and boss battles that reward pattern mastery. The community loves the craft visible in dialogue and design—it doesn't feel like soulless asset-flip work. However, the core loop is undeniably repetitive. Players complete the same slime-bashing minigame 3–4 times per 10-minute run, and story progression is locked behind grinding: character scenes require gifts or love letters, which demand either daily trophies (capped at 2/day) or grinding rare drops from battle shops or bosses. Inventory management is tedious—no repair-all button, constant dragging between stash and inventory, and gifts hog 4 slots each. Feedback is mixed: some see this as standard roguelike progression and enjoy optimizing builds; others find it exhausting for an adult game. The developer acknowledges the grind and is working on fixes. Recent updates (new love cards, ongoing balance tweaks) show active support, though the build has scattered bugs—repaired items sometimes vanish, the Tanuki minigame occasionally breaks, and UI clarity issues confuse new players on consumable use and item purposes.
