Editorial Meh
Babysitter is a short visual novel with a premise that engages its niche audience, centering on a domestic power-dynamic scenario with multiple character routes. Player opinion splits clearly: some praise the story's setup and character work as fresh enough to hold interest, while others find the narrative arc thin—choices feel binary ("dead end or continuing") rather than meaningfully branching, and the lesbian-heavy route balance has disappointed some who expected more variety. The most consistent technical complaint is the AI character animation, which multiple players report as jarring and immersion-breaking (unnatural movement, clipping, continuity errors with clothing). Separate from animation, there are scattered continuity bugs (bra state inconsistencies) and a significant save-incompatibility issue between versions that frustrated returning players. The writing and art direction are competent, and the core scenario lands for its intended audience, but the execution is uneven.
