Editorial Meh
Astrid's Adventure is an early-stage RPG with genuinely dark, sexually explicit content that some players find compelling—brutal scenes and bad ends are the main draw. However, the game is barely playable in its current state. Fundamental systems are broken or missing: combat crashes the game, hunger mechanics are punishing and poorly balanced, saves don't work reliably until you find a specific campfire, and NPCs trigger instant game-overs without warning. There's no tutorial, no map, no clear objectives, and many areas are empty or unfinished. Players report frequent crashes when entering certain zones at specific times, and the introductory sequence cannot be skipped despite forced restarts. A few dedicated players have found workarounds (cheat codes, grinding strength at a guard trainer), but the consensus is stark: the game has creative potential but is functionally unfinished and frustrating to engage with in any meaningful way.
