Editorial Has potential
Anomalous Growth is a 3D transformation game centered on a futa protagonist experiencing muscle and body growth through experimental means. The creative work is solid: players consistently praise the well-modeled characters, straightforward story hook, and variety of transformation paths across multiple love interests—the protagonist Jane herself is likable and the sandbox design lets players engage with content that appeals to them. However, the game is explicitly early-access (demo/very early build), and the current release is incomplete: quests break after the second growth stage with placeholder "coming soon" markers, several gallery and gym events fail to unlock properly, and some images fail to load. The developer is responsive to bug reports and posts regular progress updates, but there is genuine unfinished content rather than just polish work. Opinion divides sharply on the futa protagonist itself—some players consider it a refreshing departure from typical female-muscle-growth games, while others want a male or non-futa option and view it as a dealbreaker. That is pure preference, not a flaw. The bigger issue is that the current build simply is not feature-complete; players should expect to encounter broken progression and missing scenes if they play now.
