Amidst Hearts: One Amongst Five

Editorial Has potential

Amidst Hearts is a narrative-driven adult game still in early development, with a passionate solo creator working to expand its scope. Community reception is mixed: players who've engaged with the current build (v0.1.6b–e) appreciate the character writing and art direction, but nearly all note the game is extremely short—roughly 15 minutes with two sex scenes—and leaves players wanting more story progression. The developer is transparent about delays caused by personal and financial hardship, has been communicating on Patreon, and has promised a full release by February 2026; however, the long silence between updates and repeated missed deadlines have fed concerns about whether development will actually continue. A secondary but vocal faction dismisses the art as AI-generated (the dev uses AI as a base then hand-redraws), which some find objectionable. For those willing to wait and want to experience a small, well-written opening chapter, the current version is playable; for those seeking substantial content now, it is not ready.
