Editorial Don't bother
Almastriga promised an adult Metroidvania with striking character art, but delivered an abandoned, barely-playable mess. The artwork and animations are genuinely excellent — reviewers consistently praise the character designs and cutscenes — yet everything else collapsed: severe performance issues (4 FPS on even modest screens), unresponsive controls, broken UI menus, impassable geometry, unfair boss difficulty with unavoidable attacks, and progression-blocking bugs that trap players mid-game. The developer shut down the studio mid-development, leaving the game incomplete, unfinished, and removed from sale. A few outlier reviewers who played an older non-Steam build or are willing to overlook the jank give it credit for potential; most find it fundamentally unplayable, even as a novelty. The erotic content itself draws no significant complaints — it's simply never reached in a playable state.
