Editorial Meh
Worldbound is an early-alpha sandbox HTML game built around a corruption mechanic with a central character named Alicia. The premise gets a cautiously positive nod from players who appreciate its setup, but the near-universal complaint is that there is almost nothing to actually do: even after grinding relationship and corruption stats to their caps, most reviewers hit a wall with no clear direction, no meaningful quest guidance, and little content beyond occasional random encounters. A cheat-menu crash, silent video clips, several basic economy tweaks still needed (showering costs energy instead of restoring it, cooking costs $200), and a stat whose purpose no one can figure out round out the technical rough edges. In its current state the game reads more as a proof-of-concept than a playable release. Reviewers repeatedly note that AI-generated art is present but untagged, which has frustrated players trying to filter for or against it. There is genuine goodwill toward the premise, but until the content pipeline, quest signposting, and basic balance are substantially fleshed out, there is little here to hold attention.
