Withered Flower is a short detective VN with a deliberately obscure, noir-tinged story that attempts genre deconstruction—think Basic Instinct meets moral ambiguity. Players are divided: some appreciate the darkly comedic mystery and willingness to leave the case unsolved, while others find the plot incoherent, the ending abrupt, and the payoff underwhelming. The art is competent and the soundtrack solid, but sex content is sparse (mostly stills, few animations per character) and feels disconnected from the narrative.
