Wings of Empire

Wings of Empire is a space-opera adult visual novel set in an alternate history where the Roman Empire never fell and expanded into the stars. You are a former Roman centurion forced into early retirement after injury, who joins the elite fighter-pilot crew of the carrier Aquila as a fresh recruit. Three human powers—the Roman Empire, the Han Commonwealth, and the Japanese Shogunate—have maintained an uneasy cold war for generations, but tensions are now breaking down into open conflict. The game blends story-driven narrative with sandbox exploration, tactical space combat, romance, and relationship progression. It draws inspiration from military sci-fi series like Battlestar Galactica and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Gameplay includes turn-based tactical starfighter combat, minigames (both optional), and a Persona-like progression system where you balance fixed story events with free time to interact with wingmates, fellow crew, and potential romantic partners.
