Editorial Has potential
Veritas is an early-access story-driven game (v0.2) that draws strong praise for its world-building, character foundation, and narrative consistency. Players highlight interesting character dynamics, creative realm-hopping environments, and the dev's willingness to engage with community feedback. However, the game suffers from real technical problems in the current build: a critical script error that crashes players mid-playthrough (mislabeled label 'v1end'), forced unwanted sex scenes that trigger regardless of player choice, and abrupt mid-scene transitions that boot players to the title screen. Story pacing is also uneven—early chapters contain logical inconsistencies (contrived character meetings, unexplained behavior shifts) that undermine immersion, though later content improves. The long gap between v0.1 and v0.2 raises concerns about update velocity. For players patient with rough builds and early-access awkwardness, the foundation is solid; for those wanting a stable, polished experience, wait for a more finished version.
