Thirsty Society is an early-access NTR/harem visual novel that drew immediate comparisons to well-regarded titles in the genre—reviewers specifically name Gunpowder Cocktail and Power Vacuum as spiritual cousins—and the initial build left players genuinely excited about its potential. The writing and renders earned enough goodwill that the community thread is still active and fans are lobbying for expanded content. Content-fit expectations vary: some players want harem-focused routes, others are firmly in the NTR camp, and a few are hoping for family-themed content, so readers should know the game sits squarely in contested-kink territory. The build situation is a different story. Development has been plagued by repeated delays—a key renderer based in Iran had to drop out, putting assets and character models at risk—and the project briefly received an "Abandoned" tag after months of silence. As of the most recent community activity, the developer has resumed contact, sample renders are circulating, and a Version 0.2 release was promised for August, but it has not yet arrived. With only Version 0.1 publicly available and no confirmed release date met, the current build is squarely rough: there is very little to play while the community waits.
