The Yokai Beside

A visual novel set during a long summer break, following a young noblewoman named Masaki Shirakawa and her maid Kaori on a hot spring vacation at a traditional inn with an attached shrine. When an occult magazine writer and photographer arrive on assignment, what begins as a relaxing getaway centered on the noblewoman's interest in the supernatural gradually spirals into something unexpected. Small coincidences accumulate, reality warps, and larger forces begin to move. The story progresses through exploration and event sequences as the narrative unfolds.
