Editorial Has potential
This is a focused short erotic visual novel about a captured undercover officer undergoing training and corruption—exactly what its audience signed up for. Appetite delivers polished artwork from artist Torisan (not AI), full Japanese voice acting, and 15 explicit CGs that land their intended impact, even if static and mosaicked. The core strength is the stepwise psychological breakdown: Yakumo begins defiant and gradually surrenders to pleasure across two branching endings (resistance vs. acceptance), with dialogue that tracks her mental erosion convincingly. Gameplay is minimal—a single binary choice in a ~1–2 hour linear VN—but that restraint suits the material. The main divide among players is over content taste: some find the restraint-and-corruption premise deeply satisfying; others wanted deeper psychological complexity or more varied training elements, and a few felt the premise itself—obligatory for the genre—lacked narrative surprise. No major story flaws, just divisive subject matter. One critical issue: the game has a severe launch crash on some systems (clickable "Start" triggers an error preventing play), making the current build unplayable for affected users until patched.
