Editorial Meh
The Lord of Time is a Doctor Who-inspired time-travel adventure with slick UI and strong visual presentation, but hobbled by tedious grinding and incomplete storytelling. Fans praise the character work, voice acting, humor, and animations—especially the cinematic opening sequences—and the core concept lands well. However, the bulk of gameplay consists of repetitive stat-grinding (teaching classes, clicking the same actions ten times to unlock story progress) with no meaningful choices outside kinetic sequences, and the narrative itself, while ambitious, suffers from thin logic and empty lewd scenes that feel like padding rather than earned payoff. Most critically, the game ends abruptly mid-story with no clear conclusion, and the developer has gone silent for long periods despite launching a competing Early Access title, raising serious questions about whether this project will be finished at all. At $11, reviewers overwhelmingly feel the incomplete content, lack of communication, and grindy design do not justify the price.
