Editorial Meh
The Curse is a dark revenge fantasy with a demon domme at its core—a concept that clearly excites its niche audience. However, the execution stumbles badly: dialogue is widely criticized as clunky and awkwardly edgy, and the narrative logic frustrates players invested in the revenge angle. One major complaint: the game promises comeuppance for betrayers but instead empowers them alongside the protagonist, undercutting the fantasy's emotional payoff. The renders are competent but lack depth, and animated scenes are sparse. At v0.06, the game remains unfinished and rough around the edges—playable, but clearly mid-development. Community feedback is divided less on creative merit than on content fit: some players are here for the femdom, others for revenge, and the game doesn't fully satisfy either. The developer's decision to juggle four projects simultaneously is controversial, with players split on whether it signals creative burnout or smart workload management. For its target audience willing to overlook rough presentation and incomplete narrative, there's a seed of something worth following—but only if you're patient with an unpolished build and can accept that your preferred fantasy may not win out.
