Editorial Has potential
The Chosen One's Party is a brief early-stage visual novel with striking anime-style artwork by ENNO that has earned genuine praise from its audience. The core appeal is clear: a black male protagonist in a netori (partner-stealing) fantasy setup, steering the narrative toward seduction rather than humiliation—a rare and welcomed combination that reviewers specifically celebrate. The story itself shows promise: a goddess manipulates the MC into pursuing married women, and early feedback suggests the protagonist's moral hesitation creates tension worth exploring. However, the game is extremely short—one reviewer clocked it at 45 seconds of actual play—and is plainly unfinished. Several players note missing Android images and question whether the main story arc is complete; the consensus seems to be that this is a proof-of-concept rather than a playable product. A handful of players express discomfort with the goddess-as-puppet-master framing, though this is a minority view. Strong artistic execution and a bold character choice keep interest alive, but there is almost nothing to play yet.
