Editorial Meh
Teacher's Debt is a 3D adult visual novel — closer to a VN than a full game, with limited free-roam exploration and dialogue-driven scenes — built in Unreal Engine and clearly in early development. The art direction draws direct comparisons to "Expose My Teacher," and more than one reviewer considers it effectively a copy of that game rather than an original work; whether that's a creative failing or simply a familiar template executed adequately is a matter of perspective, but it's worth knowing going in. The forced sharing route with a side character (Andre) is the loudest content complaint: players who dislike that dynamic want the option to skip it, and the developer has at least acknowledged it. On the technical side, the build is genuinely rough: a recurring toilet-scene softlock on Day 3 has trapped multiple players with no in-game way out, GPU driver crashes have been reported on at least one card, there are animation glitches in H-scenes, and the save system requires an external workaround. The developer appears active and responsive to bug reports, but with Patreon down and development paused, the near-term outlook is uncertain. At this stage the game offers very little content for the friction it asks of players.
