Editorial Has potential
Tangled Hearts is a narrative VN in active remake, with the developer substantially rewriting Episodes 1–3 from scratch and rebuilding systems (gallery, phone, relationship tracking) to support expanded route options. The creative foundation—three distinct main love interests (Edith, Aurelia, Felicity) mirrored by younger counterparts, plus optional full-harem and solo endings—is ambitious and intentional; the developer has been transparent about design choices, including the inclusion of some bi/lesbian dynamics in multi-girl routes for narrative coherence. Community opinion is divided: players who prefer solo or specific-pairing routes appreciate the upcoming branching; those uncomfortable with any girl-on-girl content or open-relationship mechanics in the harem path are dropping the game, which is valid personal preference, not a creative flaw. Sex scenes draw mixed feedback—some find them too brief or AI-assisted animation distracting. The remake is still in development (Episode 4 in progress as of late June), so the current release is a work-in-progress, but the writing and character differentiation are solid enough to warrant attention from the target audience.
