Editorial Don't bother
Succubus Town strips away player agency entirely—it's a static visual novel where you watch scenes unfold on rails with no choices and a blank-slate protagonist, undermining the corruption-and-temptation premise that demands meaningful decisions. The concept and AI-assisted animation have merit, but painfully slow text (even on fast-forward), incomplete ending content for most characters, and a lack of narrative substance or character personality make it feel more like a scene viewer than a game. Community opinion is divided between those who appreciate the visuals for their own sake and those frustrated by the absence of interactivity and storytelling depth—a significant step back from the developer's previous work.
