Editorial Has potential
Succubus: The Lustborn Curse is an ambitious adult Metroidvania that commits fully to weaving erotic content into its core mechanics rather than treating it as window dressing. The seduction system doubles as your primary healing method, and ritual captures feed into progression buffs—a genuinely inventive approach that gives the game more structural integrity than most in its niche. Combat is snappy and responsive, exploration rewards curiosity with interconnected map design, and the animation quality is consistently high across intimate scenes. However, the game struggles with obtuse design decisions that frustrate more than challenge: movement abilities are locked behind limited mana, save points are sparse and far apart, difficulty spikes are severe in late areas, and several mechanics (ritual timing, character customization reset bugs, hit detection) feel unpolished. Fans of Metroidvania design and adult content willing to work through rough edges will find a game with real ambition and solid fundamentals; others will find the friction outweighs the appeal.
