Subtext is a narrative game built around reading and replying to messages on someone else's phone. You access their texts, photos, social media, and personal communications, then choose how to respond—shaping the story through your decisions. The game includes two hand-written story originals (Movie Night, centered on netorase themes, and My Beautiful Neighbor, focused on voyeurism) that update monthly, along with a community editor tool that lets players create their own branching conversation stories without coding. Core features include group chats, triggered events, persistent galleries, GPS locations, and time progression mechanics.
