Student of Love is a debut visual novel that shows genuine promise in character setup and environmental detail—the developer demonstrates real skill in visual storytelling, with touches like advancing phone time and expressive character animations that caught players' attention. However, the game has been abandoned mid-development. The developer published a farewell announcement explaining that early design mistakes (a widely-disliked dream sequence, tonal missteps with a character named Leonore, obvious humor) created a foundation she couldn't repair, and that her natural creative style diverged too far from what she forced herself to create.
