Strain Y is a short-form episodic adult visual novel about a mysterious virus spreading across a college campus. The story begins when Jade contracts an infection after a drunken hookup at a campus mixer, only to discover it causes dramatic physical transformations in those infected. When she meets Riley, the protagonist, the infection's true nature becomes clear: it spreads through sexual contact, transmitted via semen, rewriting the bodies of anyone exposed. As the virus reaches new characters, the narrative explores the cascading consequences of this transformation, with each chapter pushing the story and the infection further.
