Editorial Meh
Spy X Taxi has gorgeous character models and fluid animations that players consistently praise, but it's hamstrung by a tedious, grindy gameplay loop designed to pressure spending. The core loop—answering trivia to earn money, buying gifts to raise affection—is repetitive and slow, with multiple reports that gifts don't register properly due to code bugs (typos like "concret_ticket" instead of "concert_ticket"). The build is in rough shape: Android players face game-breaking crashes when encountering Lana, a missing return button in menus, and forced wrong answers on trivia. The camera's constant shaking also alienates players who find it nauseating rather than immersive. Most troubling is the project's apparent abandonment—no updates in over a year, the developer's Discord hacked, Patreon links broken, and members reporting they cannot access promised cheats or content. Unless you're drawn purely by the art and H-scenes and willing to endure both technical chaos and a dead project, this is not worth your time or money.
