Editorial Has potential
Short Night: The Half Pint Lady has caught players' attention with strong character art and an appealing goblin-focused premise that genuinely excites its niche audience. However, the game is currently burdened by significant technical problems: multiple reports of softlocks, hardlocks, crashes, unclickable doors, and navigation that is painfully sluggish (taking several real minutes to traverse between rooms). Combined with walls of text, poor UI responsiveness in menus, and missing accessibility options (sound effect sliders, textbox hiding), the build feels unfinished despite apparent completion claims. The core creative work shows promise, but players are repeatedly hitting gamebreaking bugs within the first few minutes, making this a difficult recommendation until the stability issues are resolved. Content-wise, players note that only one scene is currently available, which significantly limits what there is to experience. The art direction resonates strongly with its target audience, but the execution—both technically and in pacing—needs substantial work before this becomes playable for most.
