197X: a civil war rages in a small Eastern European country during the Cold War. You are a landlord conscripted as a state monitor, tasked with surveilling your tenants for signs of disloyalty. You can report suspected dissidents to military authorities, or exploit evidence of their activities to blackmail them for personal gain. Military police conduct periodic inspections, and failure to perform your duties adequately risks your arrest. Your choices—whether to serve the state loyally or abuse your power—determine the game's outcome and the fates of those around you.
