Description
Kageie no Tsurugi (Shadow Picture Sword) is a Japanese-inspired shadow-silhouette action game where you wield a single lamp as your weapon. By moving the lamp near furniture and environmental objects, you cast expanding shadows that transform into different weapons—a broom's shadow becomes a spear, an umbrella becomes a shield. The core mechanic revolves around managing your lamp's oil: swinging it consumes fuel and generates sharp shadow attacks, while holding it still restores oil and creates defensive walls. Across five atmospheric stages—a shadow town, bamboo temple, misty inn, burning castle town, and shadow tower—you battle silhouette enemies and face five bosses. Between stages, you choose from three permanent upgrades to customize your playstyle, and your score is determined by enemies defeated and stages cleared. Simple mouse controls and a 15–30 minute run length make it accessible, though strategy matters in managing offense, defense, and resource consumption.
